Academy of Communications & Multi-Media Technology

What is the Academy of Communications & Multi-Media Technology?
The Academy of Communications & Multi-Media Technology is designed to allow students to explore the world of business communications. Through Business Technology programs, students will learn technical administrative and professional support skills used in today's offices. In Wireless Communications students will gain experience working with computer networks. And through Digital Design, Web Design, and Computer Programming programs students will develop audio-visual multimedia projects.

Why an Academy?
An Academy integrates college-preparatory curriculum with a career theme. In other words, an Academy offers:
  1. "career-focused curriculum" to a subset of students (school within a school)
  2. by involving teachers from different subjects (college-prep academics)
  3. working together as a team and providing students with exposure (work-place experience)
  4. to their chosen career field (partnerships with local businesses)
Students learn marketable career skills integrated with a rigorous academic program that incorporates technology into the classroom.
