Michael Meechin, Planning Principal of STEM Demonstration High School
During his career, Michael Meechin has held the following positions: Teacher at Celebration High (2004-2011); Dean of Students/Data and Assessment Coordinator at Celebration High (2011-2012); and Assistant Principal at Creekside High in Atlanta, Georgia (2012-2013); Assistant Principal of Instruction at Poinciana High (2013-2015); and Principal at Poinciana High (2015-present). He received his bachelor's degree in History from Westfield State University in Massachusetts and a master's degree in Education from University of Phoenix in Arizona. He also received a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Stetson University. He is a member of the AVID Principals’ Collaborative and on the Future of Educational Technology Advisory Board. He was selected to present the keynote address entitled “Breaking Down Barriers to High Impact Instruction” at the 2017 Future of Educational Technology Conference in and at the 2016 Florida Council of Language Arts Supervisors Conference, as well as a workshop entitled “Engagement-Assessment-Creation” at the 2016 Florida Association for Media in Education conference. Mr. Meechin was selected for the Brian Dassler Leadership Academy by the Florida Department of Education, and he is currently a State Finalist for the 2018 Innovative Principal of the Year for the Florida Council for Instructional Technology Leaders.

Mackenzie Bertram, Coordinator of Induction
Throughout her career, Mackenzie Bertram has held the following positions: Teacher at Celebration High (2004-2012); Trainer/Facilitator for The Resource Connection (2010-2013); Secondary Language Arts Resource Specialist/ELA Supervisor for the Osceola School District (2012-2013); Elementary HMH Reading Resource Teacher for Orange County Public Schools (2013-2014); and Assistant Principal at Kissimmee Middle (2014-present). She received her bachelor's degree in Religion from Presbyterian College and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education.

Keila Porter, College and Career Coordinator
Throughout her career, Keila Porter has held the following positions: Education and Training Support Coordinator for the Attorneys Title Fund Services (2008-2009); School Counselor at Westridge Middle School (2009-2012); Seasonal National Staff Developer for AVID (2015-present); and Lead School Counselor at Freedom High School (2012-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in Counseling/Psychology from Troy University.

Matthew Tuchman, Coordinator of Community Involvement and Marketing
Throughout his career, Matthew Tuchman has held the following positions: Marketing and Community Relations Ambassador for the University of Central Florida (2008-2010); Press Box Director for Eastern Florida State College (2008-2010); Communications with the Orlando Magic (2009-2011); Logistics Manager for Pridmore Corporation (2010-2012); NBA Events and Attractions Manager for the National Basketball Association (2012); Sales and Marketing Coordinator for LiveTV (2012); and Marketing and Sales Manager for Medieval Times (2014-present). He received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Interpersonal and Organizational Communications from the University of Central Florida.

Jose Vazquez, Assistant Principal at Westside K-8
During his career, Jose Vazquez has held the following positions: Teacher at St. Cloud High (2005); Teacher at Mill Creek Elementary (2005-2014); Dean of Students at Zenith Career Center (2014-2017); and Dean of Students at Westside K-8 (2017-present). He received a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Administration from University of Cumberland and a master’s degree in Administration and Leadership from Troy University.
