Construction is currently underway off Boggy Creek Road for Osceola County’s newest state-of-the-art high school, which will open in August 2018 serving 3,000 students in a 21st Century learning environment. With a heavy emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), as well as career and technical education programs, the new campus will provide the foundation for students to move toward careers in high-wage market sectors. The school will house academies designed to prepare students for college and careers in diverse fields, including medical, digital design, culinary arts, engineering, simulation, and the arts. Educators and students will have use of a wide range of technology throughout the campus.

The Osceola County School Board invites the public to offer suggestions below on the name of the new high school, its colors, and mascot.

**Name ideas should include an explanation as to why the submission would be appropriate for the new school. Suggestions may reflect history, events, heritage, geographic features, or anything the submitter feels is relevant to the local area.

**As outlined in School Board Rules, schools shall not be named after a living person or after individual subdivisions (SB Rule 8.54).
