Ready. Set. Start SMART!

Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day!

  • Recognizing that the most effective learning happens when there is a strong relationship between a student and a great teacher, and knowing that our school district has prioritized recruiting, developing, and retaining great teachers for all of our schools, the Osceola Ready. Set. Start Smart! plan has a strong focus on a return to face-to-face instruction when school begins on August 10. As our school district strongly values parental choice, we are also offering parents two other alternatives so that you can make the best decision for your children and family. Many parents count on us to provide a healthy breakfast and lunch for their children, as well as to care for them consistently while they are working to provide for their family. As such, our plan does not include staggered starts or alternating day schedules for students.

What it does include are clear and reasonable safety protocols that will be implemented to protect both students and staff members as our schools reopen on August 10th.

It is important that we hear from each family very soon about which learning option works best for the opening of school: face-to-face instruction on campus, digital learning through their assigned school, or enrollment in virtual learning through Osceola Virtual School. Explore this page and then let us know your choice for instruction for the 2020-2021 school year by July 15, 2020.
