• Meet Deputy Ortiz

    Ortiz

I was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and I was raised in Orlando, Florida. From a young age I always knew I wanted to be a police officer. Many of my family members were or still are police officers. My law enforcement  career started at The Miami-Dade Police Department in 2006. In 2015, I transferred to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. I became a police officer to make a difference. I am married with a son. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. I’m always up for trying something new.

    Meet Deputy Burns

    Deputy Chris Burns

I was born in Queens, New York and grew up on Long Island, NY. I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a Police Officer.  I graduated from St. Johns University with a Business Degree and later obtained a degree in Criminal Justice.  I retired as a Sergeant after 30 years in New Jersey. I was not retired long when I decided that law enforcement was still a part of who I am.  I have been with Osceola County Sheriff for almost two years and enjoy my time being involved with students in schools. I have been married over 30 years and have two grown children. On my free time I enjoy traveling, indoor cycle classes, and being with the family.
