Photo Banner of School-Related Employee of the YearMoses Younassoghlou has been named as the 2018 School-Related Employee of the Year for the Osceola School District in recognition of his unwavering support to schools, his outstanding work ethic, and his dedication to customer service. For six years, he has been employed in the district’s Maintenance Department, where he currently serves as the Building Automation System Specialist with dignity, pride, and humbleness. His prime focus at all times is on ensuring the safety of the children and security of the school campuses. Mr. Younassoghlou is an integral part of the day-to-day success of schools, as his commitment and passion for people and his work guides him to go above and beyond the call of duty.
Coworkers, supervisors, and principals across the district have praised Mr. Younassoghlou’s outstanding customer service and his ability to find the resources to resolve any issues. He has earned the well-deserved reputation as someone who completely understands the dynamics of a school environment, and who places the interest of the school’s stakeholders as top priority. For example, he recently went above and beyond to quickly resolve an HVAC problem as elementary students and teachers struggled with the heat and humidity, both of which were proving to be big distractions from learning.
Earlier this year while assisting a school in preparing to become a hurricane shelter, Mr. Younassoghlou took extra time to meet with school administrators and staff to provide details that were critical to ensure safety for all. No matter what the task, he gets the job done with the highest quality possible, and often offers his assistance to other coworkers earning him a high level of respect
Superintendent Dr. Debra Pace will now proudly forward her nomination on to the Florida Department of Education for consideration for the State's 2018 School-Related Employee of the Year Award.
