Dear Digital Students
If you have chosen option 2, Digital Learning through NBEC, you should be reading this letter. We wanted to make sure that you were aware of some of the expectations for the coming school year. You will be able to access your schedule on FOCUS starting on August 17, 2020. You can log in to FOCUS through Classlink on our website https://www.osceolaschools.net/nbec at anytime.
- All students will use their Student ID# as their username for log in to ClassLink and/or all school computers.
- If you are a returning student, your password is the same as last year; unless you bored a laptop for fall semester, then your password will be the one indicated when you picked-up your laptop.
- If you are a new student from another district, you will need to set your password by calling the District Help Desk at 407-870-4037.
* Teachers will be building their TEAMS the week of August 17th and you should begin seeing your classes populate on the platform within the next few days.
Grade 6th to 8th
Unlike in the 4th quarter of the 2019-2020 school year, the format of digital learning will be much different. Students will be required to follow their schedule by class period. If you have a 1st period class that starts at 8:20am, you are required to log into that class. Attendance will be taken for every class period, it is the responsibility of the student to make sure they log in and stay logged in the entire period. Failure to do so could result in your removal from digital learning. All assignments will be delivered to students through TEAMS and it is the expectation that all assignments are submitted through TEAMS. Teachers will be using district created Instructional Continuity Plans (ICP) to guide their instruction in the digital format. These plans have been revamped since the spring to be better formatted for digital learning. Below is a list of general behavior expectations. Teachers will provide you with their specific expectations when you begin class. Failure to comply with the behavior expectations will result in disciplinary action.

If you are digital student and wish to make a change to face to face, you will be required to wait until September 8, 2020 to make the request for that change. There could be up to a one week waiting period before the change can take place. Students coming to school will be required to follow all policies and procedures regarding COVID-19 safety, including social distancing and wearing a mask at all times while on campus (excluding lunch). If you would like to make this change, please email the guidance counselor to start this process.
