Coming to America (CTA) has turned story writing into award winning scholarship essays.

This club at Osceola High School has transformed itself into an educational program. Manuel Hernandez, Language Arts Teacher at the school, has been very successful because his members have won scholarships like Bridges to Success and Ford Driving Dreams with essays written under his tutelage in the club.

Hernandez has convinced several of his high school graduates to come back each semester and teach the same writing process he taught them to other high school seniors.

The expected academic outcome is facilitate award winning scholarships to more ESOL seniors in the 2019-2020 school year.
