Speech and Debate Shines in Osceola Schools

"Don't raise your voice, improve your argument." -Desmond Tutu

There have been four Speech and Debate tournaments this year and several schools throughout the county have participated. Those who have turned out for the Speech and Debate tournaments include St. Cloud High, Celebration High, Liberty High, Tohopekaliga High, and The Osceola County School for the Arts.

For the first time locally, there are opportunities for middle school competitors in Speech and Debate as well. The Osceola School District has been well represented by all participating schools.

St. Cloud High even hosted their first tournament on October 20, with hundreds of students from across all central Florida counties competing on the campus.

Special recognition goes out to the following students: Caroline Centeno, Armani Rosario, Mackenzie Riley, Valeria Perez, and Justin Nazario. All are pictured with their medals and trophies.

We are working on bringing more students from Osceola County to Nationals this year. #SDOCGoodtoGreat
