Osceola School District Adjusts 2020 Fall Sports Seasons For High Schools

The Florida High School Athletic Association's Board of Directors has given school districts the authority to start fall athletic programs at their discretion on August 24th or thereafter. The Osceola School District will follow the schedule below as schools reopen, allowing them to choose and manage their fall sports schedules to provide the best opportunity for regular season competition without losing the opportunity for state series competition.

Football
First practice - Week of September 7
First contest - Week of September 21

Cross Country
First practice - Week of August 24
First contest - Week of September 7

Golf
First practice - Week of August 24
First contest - Week of September 7

Swimming
First practice - Week of August 24
First contest - Week of September 7

Volleyball
First practice - Week of September 7
First contest - Week of September 21

Bowling
First practice - Week of August 24
First contest - Week of September 7


"The delay in our athletic schedules for fall sports will allow schools to safely open, and still allow our student-athletes and coaches to complete their seasons with safety precautions in place as conditions allow," said Osceola School District Superintendent Dr. Debra Pace.
