Hello Pioneers! My name is Deputy Russ, and I am your new School Resource Officer (SRO). I am excited to be here for the 2022-2023 school year. This is my 34th year in law enforcement. I started my career in June of 1989 with the City of Coral Gable Police Department. During my time with CGPD I worked in the Uniform Patrol Division, Bicycle Patrol, Motor Unit, Honor Guard, Marine Patrol, S.W.A.T., Data Management, and as a Uniformed Crime Scene Investigator. I retired from Coral Gables in 2014 as a Master Police Officer and moved to St. Cloud in 2016. I worked for two years with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office as an Executive Officer at the Orange County Courthouse. I have been with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office as an SRO for the past three years, and I was formerly at Pleasant Hill Elementary School. I enjoy assisting the staff, teachers, and students at school, and my door is always open for any questions or comments.
