ECG Screening Now Required

Electrocardiogram (ECG) Testing Requirement

Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, every student that participates in an athletics program will be required, by the School District of Osceola County, to have an ECG (Electrocardiogram) performed and documented by a medical professional in order to participate.

This test is required ONE TIME only and will be kept on file through four years of high school. We will be offering this test during our physical nights during the year (date/time tbd). You also have the option of having the test conducted at your doctor’s office.

Beginning July 1, 2019, NO student will be allowed to step on a practice/playing field until this test is completed and documentation has been delivered to the office of the Athletic Director. Please keep in mind that a physical is still required in addition to the ECG.
