Osceola County School District Announces 2024 School Grades Using Updated Grading Scale

Superintendent Dr. Mark Shanoff is proud to announce the district's overall grade is a "B" for the 2024 school year, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement. This year, we saw achievement increases in almost all academic areas, highlighted by twelve "A" schools. The foundation we have laid for future success is the direct result of the commitment to academic excellence and hard work of our many educators and staff, students, and parents.
Highlights of the results of Osceola School District’s Progress Monitoring 3 data from 2022-2023 to 2023-2024 include:

  • District grade is a "B" for the 2024 school year
  • There are twelve "A" schools in 2024

"As superintendent, I applaud these successes as we celebrate the numerous schools that have shown notable improvements, including those advancing from a "B" to an "A" and others demonstrating progress from lower ratings to higher ones. These achievements underscore our ongoing efforts to provide a supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. I commend the schools and educators for their unwavering commitment to excellence, as evidenced by their continuous improvement and dedication to student achievement. Together, we remain focused on our mission to ensure that all students receive a quality education and are prepared for future success. Thank you to our students, families, teachers, and staff for their hard work and dedication." Heather Kahoun, Chairwoman of the Osceola County School Board, remarked, "I am so pleased to see our district maintaining its "B" grade while making great strides towards an "A." This reflects the hard work of our students, teachers, and staff. While we celebrate this progress, we're not resting on our laurels. We are committed to pushing forward, closing achievement gaps, and ensuring every student in Osceola County receives the best education. El Superintendente Dr. Mark Shanoff está orgulloso de anunciar que la calificación general del distrito es una "B" para el año escolar 2024, reflejando nuestro compromiso a la excelencia académica y a la mejora continua.
