Club Information
What is FCCLA? FCCLA: The Ultimate Leadership Experience is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Club events include school and community service projects such as Give Kids the World, raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness, collections for the Help Now domestic violence shelter, volunteering at the local elementary schools, and fundraising. 

Who can join us?
Any student that has been enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program.  

How can I join?
Come to a meeting, fill out an application, and pay dues of $30.00 by September 27th, which includes a club t-shirt. Cash or check to SCHS.

St. Cloud FCCLA Leads Candy Cane Collection
St. Cloud High Family Career and Community Leaders of America began the 2nd annual collection of candy canes for the Christmas for the Kids event for Osceola county students. The request was for 2,500 candy canes to hand out at the holiday celebration. FCCLA National Honors Society, Do Something club, AVID students, Ms. Camp's classes for 1000 canes, FCCLA, Mr. Price and Mr. Tharpe, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We were very happy to provide this service for students in need. FCCLA members also helped to sort gifts and worked at the actual event. 

St. Cloud High FCCLA works to "Clean the World"
Fifteen members of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) donated their time to work at the Clean the World processing center. BY donating just three hours of time, we were able to give the gift of good health to children and families around the world. We accomplished this by sorting and counting 900 travel hygiene bags donated by United Airlines to Clean the World. Because pneumonia and diarrheal disease are two of the leading causes of death among children under 5 years old, the mission of Cleaning the World is to provide soap and hygiene kits to these families. According to the World Health Organization, millions of young lives could be saved by the access to a bar of soap and hygiene education. More than 2 million bars of partially used hotel soap are thrown away every day in the United States. By recycling soap and other discarded hygiene products, Clean the World saves lives with items that traditionally end up in landfills. FCCLA was eager to help in this project, not only because it helps recycle these products, but also to ultimately help families and children.

St. Cloud High FCCLA helps at Ronald McDonald House
St. Cloud High Family Career and Community Leaders of America has taken on a new service project working at the Nemours Ronald McDonald House in Lake Nona. The first activity was to help support the Ronald Run, which was a bike ride for families and serious cyclists, some of whom rode 100 miles. We helped by making posters and cheering on families coming through the finish line. Our second project was to provide and cook a Share-a-Meal for the families staying at the house. The officers donated food, the chapter provided the meat, and went out to the house and cooked the meal for 25-30 people. Our menu included hamburgers and hotdogs cooked on the grill and all the fixings included brownies for dessert, which the families really enjoyed. One little boy even commented "Wow, it's normal food", which made us all smile.
