    March 10th Make-Up Day

    The Osceola County School Board approved Friday, March 10, 2023, as make-up day due to Hurricane Nicole. As such, March 10th will now be a regular school day for all students, faculty, and staff in order for the district to meet state requirements regarding the number of instructional minutes in a school year.   • Dear Students and Parents,

    Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Highlands Elementary!

    The upcoming school year brings the excitement of new beginnings, new experiences and new opportunities to learn and grow. Every teacher, administrator, staff member and parent plays an important role in making this year great for all of our Cowboys!

    Highlands Elementary is committed to creating an environment of high academic expectations where all individuals through support, interventions and enrichment, grow to their greatest potential. It is our mission to nurture, guide and challenge all of our students to achieve their maximum potential.

    The Highlands Elementary staff and I know how lucky we are to have so many wonderful students, parents and business partners as part of our Highlands Family. It continues to be our goal to keep our community involved and informed of the awesome things that take place at Highlands each and every day!

    I am eager to begin another school year! I hope you join me in your excitement and are ready to Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be Ready to Learn every day! We look forward to seeing you in August! Stay tuned for more details later this summer as we plan for a year full of kindness, learning and fun!
