Statement from the Osceola County School District regarding NIL for High School Students
On June 4, 2024, the Florida High School Athletic Association’s (FHSAA) Board of Directors unanimously approved the revision of FHSAA Bylaw 9.9, Amateurism, to include Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).

Medical Opt-In Selection for Students
Parents, please be aware that the Osceola School District's medical option form has been changed for the 2024-2025 school year. The new form requires parents to opt-in to any medical services for their children, instead of opting out as in years past.

Welcome to the start of a new and exciting school year at Westside K-8! I hope this message finds you and your family well-rested and ready for the adventures ahead.
I am thrilled to share some wonderful news with you all. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and families, we have successfully raised our school grade from a C to a B! This achievement is a testament to the collective effort and commitment to excellence that defines our Warrior community. Congratulations to everyone for this remarkable accomplishment.
As we celebrate this milestone, we also recognize that there is still much work to be done. Our journey towards academic excellence continues, and we must remain focused and determined. This year, we will strive to build on our successes and tackle new challenges with the same Warrior spirit that brought us this far.
Attendance is a key factor in our continued success. I encourage all students to come to school every day, ready to learn and grow. Each day presents a new opportunity to gain knowledge, develop skills, and build lasting friendships.
At Westside K-8, we embody Warrior PRIDE: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence. These core values guide us in everything we do, and I am confident that by embracing them, we will achieve even greater heights this year.
