Welcome to Poinciana High School where our strength is in our diversity. Our dedicated staff takes pride in an “our students” mentality as we genuinely believe that every student can learn and achieve the starting point of graduation.
Together we commit to best instructional practices from Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) to developing character traits through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) that result in responsible, productive students.
We accept no excuses in our commitment to preparing and marketing students for as many college and career opportunities as possible. It is truly my honor to serve the school community of Poinciana High School as we collaborate always in the best interest of our students.
The theme this 2024-2025 school year is We are on Point! We are one point away from a B school. We have the #1 graduation rate and most professional industry certifications earned among all comprehensive high schools in the district. We increased in all state tested subjects last year. Let's all be On Point as we are intentional and deliberate about maximizing student learning together as a PHS school community.
Parents: We will begin tutoring after school starting the 2nd quarter on Tuesdays and Thursday for our students in the greatest need of support. Please do all you can to have your student not only attend tutoring if requested by the teacher, but have your student attend school every single school day. Please set an expectation for your student each school day to come home and teach you or explain what they did in class that day. Set up incentives and consequences at home depending upon whether your student meets this expectation or not. If we work together as a team to support the learning of our students, the sky is the limit!
Welcome Eagles!
