Osceola School District Invites Students And Parents To Be "All-In" For Historically Black Colleges and Universities
The Osceola School District is collaborating with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Broward County Public Schools, and the School District of Palm Beach County on the implementation of a college access event highlighting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Osceola County School Board Reaches Tentative Agreement with Teamsters on Salary Increases for School-Related Employees In Their Bargaining Unit
The Osceola County School Board and Teamsters Local 385 have reached tentative agreement on $875,000 in salary increases.

School District's Ongoing Curbside Meal Program Consolidating To 13 School Sites Through End Of Second Semester
To ensure students have nutritious meals while learning at home, the Osceola School District's School Nutrition Services Department will continue to provide FREE breakfast and lunch to digital learning students and all children 18 years and under who are not attending in person classes through May 28, 2021.

School Orientations For Incoming Sixth Grade and Ninth Grade Students In Osceola County For The 2021-2022 School Year Kicking Off Virtually
The Osceola School District will be launching school orientations for incoming sixth and ninth grade students via FlipGrid, instead of holding large in-person events this year due to health and safety concerns.

Welcome to Poinciana High School where our strength is in our diversity. Our dedicated staff takes pride in an “our students” mentality as we genuinely believe that every student can learn and achieve the starting point of graduation.
Together we commit to best instructional practices from Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) to developing character traits through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) that result in responsible, productive students.
We accept no excuses in our commitment to preparing and marketing students for as many college and career opportunities as possible. It is truly my honor to serve the school community of Poinciana High School as we collaborate always in the best interest of our students.

Testing Update
The last and FINAL round of EOC make-up exams for US History, Biology, and Geometry will occur beginning January 12. This will be the last opportunity for students who wish to complete these exams. This is our third administration, and after this, we will not offer these make-up exams again this year.
If you are a student (either face to face or digital) who is interested in completing these exams, please register using the form below. Please note that we will be testing both face to face and digital students on campus on the designated days and students cannot test from home. The tests will be administered on the following schedule:
US History: 1/12/21 at 8:00 AM (digital students arrive at 7:45 AM)
Biology: 1/14/21 at 8:00 AM (digital students arrive at 7:45 AM)
Geometry: 1/15/21 at 8:15 AM (digital students arrive at 8:00 AM)
Remember, if you are interested in scholar diploma consideration, you must pass all of these exams. If you are a 12th grade student that wants scholar diploma consideration this is your final opportunity to take the test for that designation. Finally, it is important to note that these tests are a one shot deal- students who previously took the test and didn’t pass are not eligible to take the test again.

There will be no further make-up exams.tinyurl.com. This form closes on 1/10/21 at 11:59 PM. There will be no late registrations for these tests, so please be sure to register on time.
Interested in a career in military service? Students who are considering entering any of the branches of our military will need to complete the ASVAB exam. Poinciana High School is proud to offer students the opportunity to take this test on campus for free on January 21, 2021! All students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade are eligible to take the exam, but you must register in advance using the form below. The exam is 3 hours long and begins promptly at 8:00 AM. The opportunity to take the exam is open to both face to face and digital students, but students must come on campus in order to test. There is no at home option. The exam takes approximately 3 hours. Digital students who register for the test should arrive on campus at 7:45 AM. The test is being administered by members of the military and begins promptly at 8:00 AM. Students who are late will not be admitted to the test and we are not offering the test again this year.
