Dear Neptune Family
Neptune has a rich tradition of success and has been a model of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics. My goal as principal of Neptune is to work alongside our dedicated team of teachers and staff to continue to increase student achievement while providing a safe learning environment for all students.
Since our mission is to provide education which inspires all students to achieve their highest potential, we will remain focused on setting high expectations and providing the necessary supports for every child, every chance, every day!
Please remember that our schools start and end times have changed. Unless your child is enrolled in the YMCA before school program which opens at 7:00 am, student drop off can be no earlier than 8:50 AM with classes beginning at 9:20. Along with free breakfast for all students, I am happy to let you know that all Neptune Middle School students will continue to receive free lunch as well.
Our dismissal time is 4:20 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday while Wednesday is early release with dismissal at 3:20. Please ensure your child knows how they are getting home each and every day.
A student’s experience at Neptune is enhanced through the support of the community and I invite you to get involved in your child’s education by becoming a SAC member and/or an OASIS Volunteer.
I am looking forward to building a strong partnership with all stakeholders as we work together to support our students and help them succeed.
It’s going to be a great year at Neptune Middle School!
Go Seahawks!Thomas Rademacher

About Us
“Excellence for all, whatever it takes”, the motto of Neptune Middle School , reveals our commitment to providing quality education for our students. In our first year of operation, 1989-90 NMS was awarded the honor of distinction as a "Red Carpet School" by the Florida Department of Education for commitment to the principle of family involvement in the education of children. This public school for grades six - eight continues to be a receptive, warm, and friendly school where visitors are welcomed and students are given a sense of belonging. We believe that parental involvement improves student achievement and are very conscious of parent-school communications. Newsletters, orientations, open houses, parent conferences, technology nights, family literacy nights, student concerts and instructional team events are used to promote parent participation in school.
- NMS was honored as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education in 1999-2000 and again in 1992-93.
- NMS has been further recognized as a Five-Star School by the Florida Department of Education every year since that award's inception.
- NMS was recognized as a "Gold" Model School by the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support project for 2019-2020 school year in recognition of our outstanding school wide/multi-tiered framework that establishes a social culture and the behavior supports needed to improve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes for all students
