LIVING INDEPENDENTLY FOR EVERYONE (L.I.F.E.) LAB

The Living Independently for Everyone (L.I.F.E.) Lab features an apartment-style setting including a fully functional kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry room, bathroom and bedroom. Secondary students from throughout the district, who have intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder, will spend some time thoughtou the year at the L.I.F.E. Lab.

The L.I.F.E. Lab has been designed to provide an opportunity for students to gain life skills in a realistic setting. While students are at L.I.F.E. Lab, they will engage in hands-on activities such as cooking, cleaning, social skills, employability skills, personal hygiene/grooming, and much more!

Students come to the program as a class and are accompanied by their classroom teacher to ensure an activity partnership between their experiences at L.I.F.E. Lab and their daily classroom activities.
