Principal's Message

  • Dear Warrior Family,

It is an honor to be the Principal of Westside K-8 School and to serve the community.  This is my 17th year in the School District of Osceola County, in which I have served as a Teacher, Learning Resource Specialist, and Administrator.  My basic belief is that every student can and will learn.

Our mission is to provide a safe learning environment that fosters integrity, accountability, and responsibility in academic and social emotional growth. Westside’s unique programs such as Advanced Placement, Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses, Arts, Athletics, and Clubs provide our students with the opportunity to explore interests and find the passion that will drive their educational purpose.

I want to thank you for visiting our website and being an active member of our school.  We will continue to build relationships with our students, parents, and community members and invite you to join our School Advisory Committee (SAC) and Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO).  In addition, we encourage you to volunteer with Osceola Adults Serving and Inspiring Students (OASIS).  Click on the “Volunteer Link” on the Westside Parent Links page to begin the application process.  Applications must be re-submitted every year.

I look forward to a great year of demonstrating “Warrior Pride”.  Please continue to check our website and social media for important dates and events.   If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

     Thank you,

    Henry Santiago, Principal
