Principal's Message

Greetings Deerwood Challengers!
Ms. Centeno and I are excited to open our doors as we embark on our journey for the 2021-2022 School Year. I appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility last school year as we moved through the pandemic. I am excited to have all our students return face to face and we will be committed to meeting the needs of each individual child.
There will be a few minor changes here at Deerwood. First, our PBIS Expectations are changing. Beginning this year, our Challengers are expected to RISE:
Resilient
Integrity
Safe
Eager To LearnAlso, we are in the beginning phases of transforming into a Business Academy. ALL of our students will be given access to learning how to operate a successful business. We will be incorporating this into our curriculum. We will be sharing more information later in the school year.
Let’s have a great year as we will RISE back to excellence!
Sincerely,
Mr. Confesor and Ms. Centeno
Principal and Assistant Principal
Welcome Challengers!
