The Osceola School Board is committed to the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors. The Osceola School District has detailed comprehensive safety and emergency plans for every site, and all schools regularly conduct various drills, such as fire drills, severe weather drills, and intruder drills, to prepare students for an emergency.
The Osceola School District is committed to engaging all stakeholders in the education of our children. Only when we build strong relationships with our staff, students, families and community members can we best meet the needs of each and every student.
This event is intended to allow candidates and schools a chance to speak about current employment opportunities and openings anticipated for the 2022-2023 school year.
In order to help incoming middle and high school students and parents become familiar with their new schools for next year, Osceola County's secondary schools will host Student Orientation Nights. Click to learn more!
The Osceola County School Board has named Terry Castillo as Board Chairwoman and Julius Melendez as Board Vice-Chairman, effective November 16, 2021.
Greetings Deerwood Challengers!
Ms. Centeno and I are excited to open our doors as we embark on our journey for the 2021-2022 School Year. I appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility last school year as we moved through the pandemic. I am excited to have all our students return face to face and we will be committed to meeting the needs of each individual child.
There will be a few minor changes here at Deerwood. First, our PBIS Expectations are changing. Beginning this year, our Challengers are expected to RISE:
Eager To Learn
Also, we are in the beginning phases of transforming into a Business Academy. ALL of our students will be given access to learning how to operate a successful business. We will be incorporating this into our curriculum. We will be sharing more information later in the school year.
Let’s have a great year as we will RISE back to excellence!
Mr. Confesor and Ms. Centeno
Principal and Assistant Principal
