The Osceola School Board is committed to the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors. The Osceola School District has detailed comprehensive safety and emergency plans for every site, and all schools regularly conduct various drills, such as fire drills, severe weather drills, and intruder drills, to prepare students for an emergency.
The Osceola School District is committed to engaging all stakeholders in the education of our children. Only when we build strong relationships with our staff, students, families and community members can we best meet the needs of each and every student.
Osceola Virtual School is a K-12 school which accepts application twice per year. Osceola Virtual School will open it's application window on Friday, March 25, 2022. It is important to apply as soon as possible so that your child's application can be reviewed for eligibility and open availability.
Hello Eagle families!
I am so excited and proud as the Principal of Reedy Creek Elementary to welcome ALL our students and families back to school and for the start of the 2021-2022 school year. The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us all, but I am so proud of how our faculty, staff, students, and families has embraced the challenges and have become stronger together.
It is my honor to work with the Reedy Creek Family and it is truly my privilege to serve our community and to help make our school the best in Osceola County.
As a principal and an educator, I have high expectations for our faculty, staff, and students. This includes the classroom, on the playgroup and in our community. I want all to give their best effort, keep a positive attitude and create a sense of personal responsibility for learning. I want our students to be enthusiastic, confident, inquisitive, and determined learners.
To promote student success, at Reedy Creek we believe in fostering a shared-learning community that prioritizes communication, efficiency, safety, and respect. Staff, parent/guardian, and student collaboration is very important to me and I truly believe that we need to have a strong partnership for your students’ education.
This year I am excited to announce that we will be implementing a new Positive Behavior Intervention Support (P.B.I.S) program that will focus on providing proactive support while working to prevent or eliminate unwanted behaviors. We will use the school-wide acronym of Safety, Ownership, Achievement, Respect (S.O.A.R) to help guide our students and school. Students will earn Eagle Bucks for demonstrating positive behavior interactions which they will be able to use in their classrooms, at our school store or for school-wide rewards.
During this school year we will also be continuing our journey through the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program. Through our academics we will focus on Writing, Organization, Collaboration and Reading strategies (WICOR) that will help to foster learning and achievement.
We can’t wait to see all our students smiling facing as we welcome you back to school this year!
Remember, if you haven’t heard it yet today…
We care about you,
We love you,
We believe in you!
At Reedy Creek We Care!
Katie Adams, Principal
