Positive Behavior Interventions & Support (PBIS) provides a positive and effective alternative to the traditional methods of discipline. PBIS methods are research-based and proven to significantly reduce the occurrence of problem behaviors in the school, resulting in a more positive school climate and increased academic performance. The goal is to create a positive social culture in which pro-social behaviors are explicitly taught and reinforced, and all adults respond to the occurrence of problem behavior in a consistent manner.

At Neptune Middle School, we promote and encourage student's good behavior by following our SEAHAWKS expectations. We strive to promote postive behaviors by praising our students and rewarding them with our SEAHAWK sand dollars. Sand dollars can be used in our PBIS store for supplies and miscellaneous, or for school events such as games, socials etc. Sand dollars are not transferrable.
