• 🚀 What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual Enrollment is an acceleration mechanism that allows students to take advanced coursework aligned with their individual college and career goals.

    📊 Fast Facts:

🎓 Over 60,000 students in Florida participate in dual enrollment each year — and the number is growing!
📉 According to the U.S. Department of Education, earning college credit before high school graduation:

    • ⏱️ Reduces time-to-degree

    • 🎯 Increases graduation rates

    • 📈 Boosts academic performance and long-term success

🧭 As career planning becomes a greater priority, students are encouraged to choose courses that align with their postsecondary interests and future goals.

    👥 Student Support is Key:

✅ Dual enrollment decisions should be based on each student’s individual academic needs.
🔎 Students should be closely monitored for progress and success.
💬 School counselors play a vital role by:

    • Sharing accurate info with students and parents

    • Promoting the benefits of dual enrollment

    • Building strong relationships with college advisors and peers
