• Good afternoon, Gateway families,

    We hope you had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend.

    The next few weeks are going to be super busy in Panther Nation.

    This week marks the beginning of testing season, which helps provide teachers with valuable information about student progress so far. It can be very stressful for students, though, so please be sure to help support your students by making sure they get a good night’s sleep and arrive to school on time to get some breakfast and make it to their testing sites on time.

    This week’s testing schedule includes the FAST PM1 for all freshmen and sophomores. This is a reading and writing test. Students will need their fully charged laptops and chargers for this test, and they should go straight to their testing site when the bell rings.

    Next week’s testing schedule will focus on Math.

    The 2025 Homecoming Game and Dance are also this month. The Panthers football team plays Thursday night, Sept. 26. The Dance is Friday night, Sept. 27, at SeaWorld. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased in Student Finance or through myschoolbucks.com

    Class officer elections for all grades are happening throughout the month as well as voting for Homecoming Court.

    If your student is not yet participating in an after-school activity, such as sports, please encourage them to join one of the many clubs that Gateway has to offer. Student Senate is hosting Club Rush Wednesdays starting tomorrow, so that students can explore different clubs and get involved in school life.
