      When accessing Canvas as a parent, be sure to login and/or create your account at our new url: osceola.instructure.com/login/canvas

      WHAT IS CANVAS?

      Canvas is a Learning Management System (LMS), where your student's online learning actually takes place. Students can take quizzes, tests, do homework and watch lessons.

      Canvas has the ability for parents to act as a student observer. You now have the ability to see what exactly is going on in your child's classes. Oberservers are linked to one or more students; while you cannot submit course work on their behalf, you can see grades, assignments, events and any course interactions.

      HOW DO I BECOME AN OBSERVER?

      STEP 1: GENERATE A PAIRING CODE

      You can sign up as an observer by sitting with your student and following the steps outlined in the web link below. Click the Canvas icon below to access the instructions: How do I generate a pairing code for an observer as a student?

      STEP 2: SIGN UP FOR A CANVAS ACCOUNT

      You can sign up for a parent account and once you have your pairing code (step 1) you are able to connect with your student. Please click the Canvas icon below to access the instructions: How do I sign up for a Canvas account?

      HOW DO I FIND MY STUDENT'S GRADES?

      Once you have your observer accounts setup, you'll want to click here and watch our tutorial of how to check your student's progress. Of course, you are more than welcome to reach out directly to the teacher at anytime if you have specific questions.
