School Advisory Council (SAC)
Every school in Florida is required to have a School Advisory Council (SAC) that is comprised of various segments of the community - parents, teachers, administrators, business people, and other interested members of the community. The purpose of a SAC is to assist with the school improvement plan and annual school budget. The SAC receives funding of which a portion is to be used to implement the school improvement plan. During monthly meetings, data is reviewed, problem areas are identified, and improvement strategies are developed and monitored.
