Adult Learning Center Osceola programs are open to individuals who are 16 years of age or older and are withdrawn from school. Applicants seeking enrollment into one of ALCO's programs must provide a transcript, meet with the Guidance Counselor, pay for registration, and pay for tuition. Step 1: Registration and Tuition
Persons wanting to enroll in the Adult High School should first contact the Guidance Counselor, Karen Varney (firstname.lastname@example.org or 407.343.7306.) You may be required to meet with the counselor for an interview to discuss your educational options. If your last high school was not in Osceola County, you will need to provide a transcript before this interview. Please bring a copy of your withdrawal from high school (if under 18 years of age), your photo ID and $45 for your appointment. After your interview, you will register, pay your fees, get a school ID, parking pass and be scheduled for your required classes.
For summer: Persons wanting to enroll in the Adult High School should first contact Timothy Burdette, the Assistant Principal (contact info) Please have a transcript available if your last high school was not in Osceola County. The school counselor may call you to discuss your educational options. You may register online here (add link). Note that there are two registration forms, one for students who have been enrolled in Osceola County Schools at any time, and one for students who have never been enrolled in Osceola County Schools. Total cost is $45.00 for one semester. Included in the total cost is, $15.00 registration fee, and $30.00 tuition fee. Students will be required to re-register and pay $45 each semester. For summer, the total fee is $30.00. *The costs for the student identification card and parking permit are included in the registration fee.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO VOLUNTARILY WITHDRAW FROM THE CLASS IN WHICH THEY HAVE ENROLLED.
Step 2: Begin Classes
You will be scheduled into classes leading to a standard Adult High School diploma. After registration, your teacher will contact you to explain how to access your online classes. *The costs for the student identification card and parking permit are included in the registration fee.
