    Osceola Virtual School runs on the district calendar which does not include summer.

     

    Who can apply:

    • Any student who is currently enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade and meets the below eligibility requirements.

    Eligibility requirements to be considered for enrollment at Osceola Virtual School:

    • Students K-12 who are in good standing to attend a district school
    • State or district assessment scores at grade level or above
    • Grade of C or above in all courses
    • High school students, cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above
    • High school students must be on track to graduate.
    • Successfully promoted to the next grade
    • Must be an Osceola County Resident

    FAQ:

    How will I know if my child's information was received by OVS?

    • You will receive a thank you for applying to Osceola Virtual school once your online application has been submitted. We will contact you via the email provided on the application after we have reviewed your child's application.

    If my child is not accepted, when would we have another opportunity to apply?

    • OVS opens the registration period twice a year. The application window for the start of the school year will open sometime in April. The application window for the second semester will open sometime in November. Please watch our admissions page for updates when our enrollment window is open. Full-time students enter at the beginning of each semester only.

    If my child is accepted, what documents are needed for enrollment?

    • If your child is an in-district transfer (currently attends a public Osceola County school), we will need to receive the following:
    1.              Completed and signed registration form (Must be a physical signature. Electronic signatures are not accepted)             
    2.              Enrolling parent’s driver’s license
    3.              Verification of address 
    4.              Withdrawal paperwork from current school (Only withdraw your student once you receive OVS acceptance)
    5.              Signed OVS agreement 
    • If your child is coming from a private/charter school, out of district, or out of state, we will need to receive the following:
    1.               Signed OVS agreement 
    2.               Completed and signed registration form (must be a physical signature. Electronic signatures are not accepted.)
    3.               Enrolling parent’s driver’s license
    4.               Child’s Birth Certificate*
    5.               Verification of Immunizations and Physical 
    6.               Last report card or Official Transcript* if high school credits were received
    7.               Withdrawal paperwork from current school (Only withdraw your student once you receive OVS acceptance)
    8.               Verification of address 
    9.                If applicable, copies of the following: IEP, 504, GIFTED or ELL paperwork.

     

    *Any child shall be eligible for admission to kindergarten if he or she has attained the age of five (5) years on or before September 1.

    *An official transcript will be received in a sealed envelope to be opened by us or emailed to us directly from the last school student attended.
