• Applying for Financial Aid Using the FAFSA

    What is FAFSA?

The FAFSA is abbreviated for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This is the form you need to complete in your senior year to get any financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college. Colleges and universities use the FAFSA to determine which students get financial aid and how much. The FAFSA asks for information about you and your family's income, including tax returns. So, you will need your parent's help in gathering documentation to complete the FAFSA.

When can I begin working on my FAFSA?

Only seniors can apply for the FAFSA beginning December 1st, 2023. Certain colleges and universities have deadlines for completing their FAFSA. Be sure you know those deadlines, if any.
