• The ACT and SAT are college entrance exams used for scholarship eligibility and college admission!

Every school has their own criteria when it comes to competitive SAT/ACT scores for admission and scholarships.

What is the difference between the 2 exams?

When and how should I register?

You can take the exams as many times as you need. Keep in mind that you will be applying to college with your score in September of your Senior year. (Students are strongly encouraged to have 4-year college applications submitted by October of their senior year.)

Students will take the PSAT during the school day in their sophomore year. Students will take the SAT and ACT once each during the school day in the junior year. It is important students are present and try their best on these tests.

For the Bright Futures Scholarship you need to meet the testing requirements before you graduate. Bright Futures and most Colleges use a *Superscore.

    How should I study?

    • Log into your CollegeBoard account and review the questions that you missed on your PSAT
    • Use your Khan Academy account, accessed through Classlink. (It will be linked to your CollegeBoard for personalized studying!)
    • Log into your ACT and SAT accounts to learn more...

How do I know if I earned a good score/superscore?

    Test Day Tips

    • Arrive at your test location early with a photo ID, approved calculator, and printed test ticket
    • Be sure to fill in colleges you wish to send your score report to. It will cost you money to send scores later!
    • Try your best! SAT and ACT scores help with college admission and academic scholarships!
