I have been in education for almost 20 years; 8 of those years as a teacher and the rest as a counselor. I have spent some time teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. During that time, I was nominated on a few occasions for teacher and counselor of the year having been awarded the honor of counselor of the year. I have spent the last 5 years serving as the Coordinator of College and Career Services for the School District of Osceola County. I have presented at several conferences and trainings around the state of Florida to educate and advance the work School Counselors do. The last 2 years I was honored to be nominated as Innovator of the Year for the State of Florida and accepted to both NCAN as a fellow and KIPP as a fellow. I am currently working for Xello, our state’s College and Career Platform, and am the newly elected School Board Member for District 3 in Osceola County.
