Getting Connected
Microsoft Teams and Canvas are the two systems in Osceola County for digital learning and collaboration. 2nd through 12th grade teachers will use one of these two systems to give students assignments and resources.
Important: Check with Your Teacher(s)
Make sure you ask your teacher(s) whether they are going to give work and resources in Teams or Canvas. It is important to know where to go for your assignments.
Accessing Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is accessible in two ways:
- As a Windows 10 App installed on a student's computer (recommended method)
- In a Web browser as part of every student's Office 365 account (access from anywhere)
Teams Windows 10 App
All student computers will come with the Teams Windows 10 app pre-installed. This means that you can access Teams directly from your desktop! Just look for the desktop icon and double click. The program should log you in automatically, but if it doesn't, students can use the same username and password they used to log on to their computer.
Teams in a Web Browser (Edge, Chrome, etc.)
This video will walk you through how to access Teams in the browser and to find or join your teacher's class.
This method allows students to use Teams through ClassLink, meaning they can get to Teams this way on virtually any device.

Accessing Canvas
Canvas is accessible via ClassLink as a link on every student's ClassLink dashboard. Clicking this link will automatically sign students into their Canvas accounts. If you have trouble accessing ClassLink, please click here to view the ClassLink support page.
Once Canvas opens, a student will start on their Canvas Dashboard where they will find their class tiles.
