    Marketing, Sales and Service professionals all work together to create demand for a product or service.  Marketing managers help to identify potential customers for a product or service, determine the expected demand, and develop pricing strategies to help maximize profit.  The sales professional's job is to sell products or services to these potential customers. Customer service representatives assist customers during and after the purchase to maintain a positive customer experience.

    Marketing, Sales and Service prepares students for employment and/or continuing education opportunities in marketing through technical instruction in the classroom, experiential education through the laboratory and leadership and personal development by participating in student leadership organizations.

    Jobs in the Marketing Sales & Service Career Cluster involve planning, managing, and performing wholesaling and retailing services and related marketing and distribution support services including merchandising/product management and promotion.

    By taking Marketing Sales and Service, students develop skills to successfully compete in global marketplace or to won and operate their own business. Marketing is an expansive field that covers industries from advertising to travel and tourism, from retail to sports and entertainment, from real estate to Internet marketing. As people do everything from shopping and dating to trading stock and taking classes on the Internet, e-Commerce is only going to get bigger. As a result, the acceleration of the Internet has made marketing a rapidly growing field. In fact, it is estimated that world wide over 30 percent of all workers work in some area of marketing.

    Our vision: is to see that every student receives the academic knowledge and technical skills needed to be successful in a marketing career by developing essential career preparation skills through technical and experiential education.

    Career Technical Student Organizations

    BPA (Business Professionals of America) contributes to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills for students at the secondary and postsecondary level. Through co-curricular programs and services, members compete in demonstrations of their business technology skills, develop through professional and leadership skills, network with one another and professionals across the nation, and get involved in the betterment of their community through good works projects. In addition to competitive conferences, students have the opportunity to attend regional and state workshops.


    DECA (Delta Epsilon Chi) is an international association of high school students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality, and marking sales and service. Working together, students develop professionalism, leadership, build character, and encourage scholarship. Members have the opportunity to attend regional, state and national conferences which provide leadership development, problem solving and knowledge integration workshops and activities.


    FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) one of three student leadership organizations for Business and Administration. FBLA provides students with opportunities for leadership, community involvement, business partnerships, and competition with other students in events ranging from Public Speaking to Job Interview to Parliamentary Procedures. There are two annual conferences—one focused on leadership for the school officers and one focused on competition for the members. The competition conference extends for three days and hosts over 1,200 students statewide. Winners from each of the forty events qualify to compete at the national level.
