Charter School Applications

  • The Osceola County School District will be hosting a New Charter Applicant Orientation. This orientation is important for those applicants planning to submit a charter application on February 1, 2021 

    Date/Time: December 15, 2020   10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

    Location: School District of Osceola County Professional Development Building Room 2.

    We require all participants to wear a face mask/ covering. Temperatures may be checked upon arrival.  

    General information on the charter application process and requirements of charter school applicants will be provided. Interested applicants please RSVP by December 1st, 2020.

    Due to Social Distancing measures, we are limiting the number of attendees. Please be sure to RSVP by contacting Brandy DiLeonardo at (407) 870-1493.

     

    NEW CHARTER APPLICANTS:

    Applications for charter schools will be received on or before February 1 of each calendar year and will be considered for charter schools to be opened at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.

    The final application for Charter Schools and required copies must be received in the Educational Choices & Innovation department by 4 PM on February 1st. School District Offices are closed on Friday during the summer.

    In the event that School District Offices are closed on February 1, applications must be received by 4 PM on the first business day after February 1st. Following the statutory application, deadline of February 1st all applications for Charter Schools received are considered final and no amendments or addendums may be submitted.

    If you are planning to submit a new charter school application to a local school district by February 1, it must be the version the State Board of Education recently approved.

    All charter applications should be submitted in the below format on or before February 1, 2021 by close of business day, 4 PM. Applications should be mailed or hand delivered to the School District of Osceola County, Educational Choices and Innovation Department located at: 1200 Vermont Avenue, Bldg 8, Room 103. St. Cloud FL 34769

    Applicants shall submit charter applications in the following format:

    • Application cover sheet
    • Consecutive page numbers aligning with Table of Contents
    • Executed Statement of Assurances
    • One (1) original
    • Four (4) hard copies
    • One (1) CD/ OneDrive electronic PDF
