As a previous Cabinet Member for the Carson City School District in Carson City, NV, Steve West previously served as the Director of Operations, overseeing Transportation, Maintenance, Grounds, Purchasing & Warehouse, Food Nutrition, Custodial, and Capital & Special Projects. Steve also has served as a Director of Operations, with additional duties as Project Manager, for Kofile Technologies, where he oversaw the success of historical documents preserved and digitized for countless counties across the West Coast and Midwest. He previously acted as Senior Operations Manager for Waste Management and served his country proudly, retiring as the Airborne Operations Logistics Manager for the 1-508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC.   

He earned his Master’s Degree, Summa Cum Laude, and Bachelor’s Degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Business Administration and Management, with a concentration in Logistics and Supply Chain from Trident University International in Cypress, CA. In 2020, he obtained his Nevada State substitute teaching license for grades K-12 in order to support communities in northern Nevada. He is proficient in three languages, including English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Bahasa Malaysian. Additionally, he is considered intermediately fluent in Spanish and German.

From a philanthropic perspective, West has volunteered more than two decades of his life to supporting Veterans by planning and executing large-scale fundraising projects and major gifts, raising an average of $400K - $500K annually for Veteran nonprofit organizations. Foremost, Steven reveres the 501c3 he co-founded, United Wings of Liberty, and its subsidiary, The MSG Arthur Enriquez Foundation, two organizations that bridge resources and scholarships for Veterans in need of assistance.
