All employees and agents of a public school district, charter school, and private school have an obligation and legal responsibility to report misconduct by instructional personnel and school administrators which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student.

 

Examples of reportable misconduct include, but are not limited to:

  • Use of obscene or inappropriate language
  • Drug or alcohol use
  • Derogatory or disparaging remarks
  • Acts of prejudice or bigotry
  • Sexual innuendo or suggestive behavior
  • Cheating or academic dishonesty
  • Violations related to standardized testing
  • Physical aggression or violence
  • Offering or accepting inappropriate favors
