  • This camp is provided for 3rd grade students who have not met the reading requirement for 3rd grade promotion. Students who attend Reading Camp will receive intensive reading instruction. Students who demonstrate acceptable performance on an alternative standardized reading assessment or show completion of their portfolio may be promoted to 4th grade.

  • At Champions Summer Camp students will dive into an extravaganza of discovery and adventure. From STEM and sports to art and drama, elementary students discover new things about themselves and connect with others at Champions Summer Camp. They'll reach big goals, bravely face challenges, show heroic perseverance, and put their creative problem-solving skills to work!

  • Camp Discovery is our elementary‑age summer program offered at Kissimmee Elementary. This full‑day camp provides a fun and engaging mix of recreational games, sports, arts and crafts, field trips, weekly swimming at the Bob Makinson Aquatic Center, and hands‑on activities designed to keep campers active all summer long. Our trained staff create a safe, structured, and memorable experience for children entering grades K–5. Camp hours are 9 a.m.–4 p.m., with extended care included at no additional cost.

  • The City of Kissimmee will provide a summer camp for students this summer. Teen Extreme is designed specifically for middle‑school students and offers more challenging activities, team‑building experiences, two field trips per week, weekly swimming at the Bob Makinson Aquatic Center, and age‑appropriate recreation. This program also runs from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., with extended care included at no additional cost.

  • Discover After School’s summer camp Splash Dash: A Summer of Water & Adventure is packed with high-energy fun where campers dive into exciting water challenges, creative STEAM activities, outdoor adventures, and unforgettable themed experiences each week. From splash-filled games to team challenges and hands-on exploration, every day is designed to keep kids active, engaged, and making new friends.

  • Dual Language students will receive Math, Science, and Language Arts instruction in Spanish, supported by visuals, academic vocabulary development, and the use of cognates to strengthen comprehension. As part of the program, students will also participate in a weekly Cultural Dance block, where they will explore traditional Latin dances and learn about the cultural significance behind each style.

  • Newcomer multilingual learners in grades 2-11 will receive focused English language development instruction that reinforces and extends the skills they use in their academic content classes. Students will have ongoing opportunities to develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities through engaging and purposeful language-rich activities.

  • Students are going to explore the natural environment of Osceola County through our Environmental Center Scrub location. Students will have the opportunities to engage in scientific investigations learning about adaptions, animal/plant classification, and food chains in Florida's ecosystems. Students will also explore the scrub sites ancient forests and cypress forests by engaging in field experiences to learn about the local flora, fauna, and geology. *No transportation provided.*

  • Students are going to explore the natural environment of Osceola County through our Environmental Center Scrub location. Students will have the opportunities to engage in scientific investigations learning about locations and waterways in the Kissimmee-Okeechobee-Everglades watershed, rainfall and water usage in the Everglades, and Florida's limestone formations. Students will also explore the scrub sites ancient forests and cypress forests by engaging in field experiences to learn about the local flora, fauna, and geology.

  • Extended School Year (ESY) services are special education and related services provided to eligible students with disabilities beyond the regular school year. ESY is designed to ensure students maintain critical skills and continue making progress toward their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals when interruptions in instruction could significantly impact their learning.

    Eligibility is determined by the child’s IEP. There is no registration process for families. However, to assist in ESY planning, preparation, transportation, and routing, families will need to notify the Resource Compliance Specialist at your child’s school of student participation prior to attending the program.

  • The Extended Day summer camp is an enrichment camp designed to provide a  nurturing environment to enhance students cognitively and socially through a wide variety of engaging activities. The activities include STEM, art and crafts, interactive games and challenges, on/off-site presentations, and fitness are available.

  • Healthy Kids Summer Camp is built around meaningful experiences that help children connect, explore and grow. Weekly themes bring daily activity blocks to life through new stories, challenges and creative projects.

  • This opportunity is limited to middle school students who completed Algebra 1 and did not pass the spring Algebra EOC. Students will have the opportunity to review the Algebra 1 EOC benchmarks and retake the assessment on July 14th.

  • Students will participate in dynamic, interest-based learning groups where they come together to explore real-world topics they care about. The Enrichment Clusters, inspired by Dr. Joseph Renzulli, are designed to spark creativity, build problem-solving skills, and give students the chance to develop their talents in meaningful ways. Enrichment Clusters help students discover new passions, stretch their thinking, and work with peers who share similar interests - all in a fun, hands-on environment.

  • stART is an audition-based, conservatory-style arts intensive that allows students across the county to cultivate their crafts and discover how other arts disciplines inform their practice. Beginning in 2010 as “The Juilliard Project: Osceola Arts Intensive,” stART illuminates how a career in the arts is profitable and enriching. Taught over two weeks by district teachers and teaching artists from some of the best collegiate programs in the nation, students spend the majority of their days focusing on their major area and end each day taking electives in other arts areas. The program culminates in a student-led showcase performance. The program is open to SDOC, charter, private, and homeschooled students. Auditions are announed in the spring and auditions take place in April.

  • The Summer 21st Century Program provides students project-based learning activities, service learning, social emotional and health education. Programs may offer art, music, physical fitness and wellness as part of their program.

  • Summer VPK (Voluntary PreKindergarten) provides an opportunity for students to learn the skills necessary for kindergarten. This opportunity will consist of 300 instructional hours.
