VPK & Florida Prepaid Partnership
Florida’s VPK program and the Florida Prepaid College Savings Plan have partnered to help families take an early, simple step toward their child’s educational future. Through this initiative, families can apply for VPK and open a Florida 529 College Savings Plan at the same time using a streamlined process through the Department of Education’s early learning portal. The goal is to make early education and college savings more accessible, with fewer steps and less complexity for parents.
Families who participate may also be eligible for added benefits, including a $100 bonus when opening a Florida Prepaid account during VPK enrollment and the opportunity to enter for a $1,000 college scholarship. In addition to financial incentives, the program emphasizes early financial education and long-term planning, helping families build savings habits that support future college costs. Together, these efforts connect early learning with long-term success, making it easier for families to plan ahead from the start.
