Certificate of Eligibility Reminder Notice

Dear VPK Families,

We would like to take this opportunity to express how pleased we are to partner with you in your child’s early educational journey. Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) plays a vital role in establishing the foundation for future academic success, positive school behaviors, and a lifelong love of learning.

VPK is a critical stage in your child’s development. During this time, students build essential skills in early literacy, numeracy, social‑emotional development, and classroom routines. Regular and consistent attendance is essential for students to fully benefit from instruction and support. We kindly ask families to monitor attendance closely. If a student is not attending regularly, we may request a parent conference to better understand any challenges and to identify ways we can work together to support your child’s success.

Our teachers are actively implementing targeted classroom interventions to address individual student needs and skill gaps. These interventions include small‑group instruction, differentiated learning activities, hands‑on literacy and math centers, phonemic awareness strategies, language‑rich conversations, and ongoing progress monitoring. Teachers use assessments and observations to tailor instruction, ensuring that each child receives the appropriate support necessary for growth and readiness for kindergarten.

Family engagement is equally important. We strongly encourage parents and guardians to participate in school activities, meetings, and events whenever possible. Research consistently shows that when families are engaged in their child’s education, students demonstrate stronger academic performance, improved behavior, and increased confidence.

We would also like to inform you that registration for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year will open soon. Additional information regarding registration dates, required documentation, and enrollment procedures will be shared with you in the coming weeks. We encourage families to begin preparing early to ensure a smooth and timely registration process.

Together, through strong attendance, meaningful family involvement, and intentional instructional support, we can continue building strong foundations that inspire lifelong learning and success for every child.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a meeting, please contact the school office.

Sincerely,

Evelith Olmeda-Garcia

Director of Early Childhood
