The instructional standards required for the Osceola County School District Add-on for Autism Spectrum Disorder are:

• Nature and Needs of Autism Spectrum Disorders, along with assessment and diagnosis
• Use of Assistive and Instructional Technology and Augmentative Communication
• Behavior Management and Positive Behavior Support
• Application of All Components Learned via Field Experience.

Each of the components listed above are covered in-depth in each course using comprehensive objectives. Successful completion of each course will consist of participants showing a completion of course objectives with 80% accuracy as well as full completion of field experience along with a final comprehensive portfolio assessment.
