Student Device Care & Expectations

It is essential that students take care of their assigned devices and protect them from damage. Damage is defined as any material change, whether caused by negligence, accident, or intent, that affects the device’s functionality or appearance. In the event of damage, a fee may be assessed to the student, parent, or legal guardian, depending on the cause and type of damage.

🔹General Expectations

•Bring your device daily: Fully charged and ready for learning.

•Use responsibly: Devices are for educational purposes only and are monitored by the School District.

•Follow district policies: Adhere to the School District’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) at all times.

🔹Device Care Tips

•Keep it clean: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean screens. Avoid liquids.

•Protect it: Always carry your device in a protective case or sleeve.

•Charge it nightly: Ensure it's ready for the next school day.

•Tip: Shut down the device before charging to help keep the battery healthy

•Avoid food & drinks: Keep them away from your device to prevent damage.

🔹Digital Citizenship

•Be respectful: Communicate kindly and responsibly online.

•Stay safe: Never share personal information or passwords.

•Report issues: Tell a teacher or tech staff if something seems wrong.

🔹Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Devices

•Report immediately: Notify your school’s tech support or front office.

•Fees may apply: For repairs or replacements due to negligence or loss.
