OASIS Volunteer New Site
During the 2025-26 school year, nearly 19,000 parents, senior citizens, business leaders, adults, and students donated over 221,000 hours to Osceola County schools.
Few activities produce such valuable benefits for so many as school partnerships and volunteering. Your involvement as an OASIS Volunteer for Osceola's schools reaps great rewards for students, teachers, parents, and administrators alike:
- Positive attitude toward school
- Improved attendance and academic performance
- Higher quality education
- Preparation for tomorrow's workforce and decision makers
As part of the school district's community relations efforts, the OASIS Department oversees the OASIS Volunteers for the entire district. This program helps foster a strong sense of community between our schools and Osceola County as a whole.
Our schools need support for a variety of programs and projects. To help, you must first become an approved OASIS Volunteer. Volunteer applications are subject to an independent background check and can take up to 3 business days for approval.
How to Apply
-
-
As of August 1, 2026, all Osceola County Charter School volunteers will need to apply directly with their school to volunteer.
-
Current/Active SDOC employees DO NOT need to apply for OASIS approval to volunteer. Employees can volunteer at any school in the district by using their employee badge.
Outstanding School Volunteers
2026 Outstanding School Vounteers
The Osceola School District has named the following individuals as its 2026 Outstanding School Volunteers of the Year in recognition of their exceptional commitment to student learning and success:
Outstanding Youth Volunteer - Ansley Harrolle, Narcoossee Elementary School
It is an honor to recognize Ms. Ansley Harrolle as our Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year. Ansley has demonstrated exceptional dedication and service to Narcoossee Elementary School, contributing over 400 volunteer hours this year alone. Her unwavering commitment has made a lasting impact across the entire school community—from supporting classrooms and the front office to organizing resources and assisting with special events.
Ansley’s most remarkable contribution has been her direct work with students, particularly in providing targeted small-group math support to 5th graders needing additional academic intervention. Thanks to her encouragement, consistency, and dedication, 73% of those students showed measurable growth on their FAST Math assessments.
Beyond the numbers, Ansley’s compassion, reliability, and willingness to serve wherever needed have made her an invaluable part of the Narcoossee Elementary family. She truly exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism and servant leadership. Congratulations, Ansley, on this well-deserved honor.
Outstanding Adult Volunteer - Mark Kimmel, Canoe Creek K8
It is an honor to recognize Mr. Mark Kimmel as our Outstanding Adult Volunteer of the Year for his extraordinary dedication to Canoe Creek K–8. For the past six years, Mark has volunteered consistently, contributing 4–6 hours each week through animal care, classroom support, school events, and instructional enrichment—positively impacting hundreds of students each year.
Mark’s most notable contribution has been his support of science education through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. His interactive presentations, featuring his reptiles, bring science standards to life—boosting student engagement, strengthening academic understanding, and improving performance in life science concepts.
Beyond the classroom, Mark’s involvement has helped foster a stronger school community. His participation in family nights and school events has strengthened family-school partnerships and inspired students to continue learning beyond the school day.
Through his unwavering commitment, reliability, and passion for education, Mark Kimmel has made a lasting impact on student achievement and school culture, making him truly deserving of this distinguished honor.
Outstanding Senior Volunteer - Margarita Chapman, Bellalago Charter Academy
It is a privilege to recognize Ms. Margarita Chapman as our Outstanding Senior Volunteer of the Year for her exceptional service to Bellalago Academy. In her very first year as a volunteer, Margarita has dedicated 12 or more hours each week supporting our Kindergarten students and teachers, making an immediate and meaningful impact.
Through her one-on-one and small-group work in early literacy, phonics, writing, and math, Margarita has helped strengthen foundational skills during one of the most important years of student learning. Her support has expanded opportunities for targeted small-group instruction, enrichment, and individualized attention—helping to close learning gaps and create a more engaging classroom environment.
What truly sets Margarita apart is her patience, warmth, and nurturing spirit. Her gentle guidance and encouragement have helped students build confidence, independence, and a love of learning, while also supporting teachers with smoother classroom routines and more effective instruction.
In just one year, Margarita Chapman has made a lasting difference in the lives of students and staff, exemplifying the profound impact of senior volunteers in education. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor.
Thank you to these three individuals and to all OASIS Volunteers for their dedication to Osceola schools.

2025 Outstanding School Volunteers
Osceola School District Names Four Individuals As 2025 Outstanding School Volunteers of the Year
The Osceola School District has named the following individuals as its 2025 Outstanding School Volunteers of the Year in recognition of their exceptional commitment to student learning and success:
Adult Outstanding School Volunteer of the Year – Bettina Grzeskowiak, Celebration High School
Through Ms. Grzeskowiak's work with the Embrace Celebration Volunteer Group, her goal is to help as many people as possible, particularly those who struggle with food insecurity. Celebration High School has a market for students to "shop" at for non-perishable items. What they were missing was fresh fruits and vegetables, and in stepped Ms. Grzeskowiak and Embrace. Every Friday, she and the Embrace Team go to the Second Harvest Food Bank and pick up a box truck full of fresh items to be delivered to several schools, including Celebration High. Each week, several hundred pounds of items are delivered, free of charge, to the school to the delight of the students. With a large population of students who live in hotels, this food can literally be a lifesaver. On any given Friday, there are approximately 350-400 students who come through the market during lunch to get food, particularly the fresh fruit and vegetables. Ms. Grzeskowiak has also helped Celebration High collect clothing for the opening of the Storm Boutique. She has been out in front of the initiative talking with community groups, schools, and business partners to determine the needs of students from elementary to high school. She has given exemplary service to the students at Celebration High School and is extremely deserving of this recognition.
Senior Outstanding School Volunteer of the Year – Silvana Vitale, Adult Learning Center Osceola
Ms. Silvana Vitale serves as a volunteer daily in two adult ESOL classes, offering consistent and compassionate support to English Language Learners from diverse backgrounds. She has volunteered over 420 hours, averaging 21 hours per week, and has become a cornerstone of the classroom experience. She works directly with students in small groups and one-on-one, providing authentic speaking opportunities and academic support tailored to each learner’s level. What makes Ms. Silvana’s service especially impactful is her initiative and flexibility. She also assists with classroom organization, develops supplemental learning materials, and adapts her support to meet evolving student needs. Students who once hesitated to speak are now participating actively, often crediting their progress to the confidence and support they receive from Ms. Silvana. The retention and attendance rates in these classes remain strong, in part because students feel connected, supported, and encouraged. Her volunteer service continues to empower learners to build confidence, improve communication skills, and unlock new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Youth Outstanding School Volunteer of the Year – Dalton Gould, Horizon Middle School
As a high school senior, Dalton Gould balances school, sports, and his social life while volunteering at Horizon Middle School. He is always willing to help and to go the extra mile to make teachers' lives easier by giving over 150 hours of volunteer service this year. He spent last July assisting school staff in preparing the campus for the return of teachers and students. He sorted textbooks and delivered them to the classrooms, moved surplus items and prepped them for removal, and assisted with the technology-delivery nights for students. Once the teachers returned, he helped move them into classrooms, helped them decorate, and removed trash to assist our custodians. Dalton comes to school when he is able and assists staff in preparing for events. During Open House, he assisted with parking for parents and provided directions to new families. Dalton's volunteer service demonstrates excellent leadership and a true commitment to supporting others.
Youth Outstanding School Volunteer of the Year – Logan Harrolle, Narcoossee Elementary School
Logan Harrolle, a senior at St. Cloud High School, has been recognized for his outstanding service to Narcoossee Elementary. While prepping for his last year of high school, Logan still found the time to volunteer during last summer and this school year. He provided valuable assistance to the school with help on the inventory and distribution of student computer devices. He has also readily helped multiple teachers with setting up their classrooms and moving items for them when they moved classrooms from last school year. When he was not volunteering on campus, he continued to help the fifth-grade team with all upcoming events. By donating volunteer hours to an elementary school, Logan served as a positive role model, inspiring young students through mentorship, leadership, and dedication to their success.
